Make a donation

A £1 million gift from a single donor has allowed us to permanently endow the Jeremy Catto Fellowship in History at the College, and a further major benefaction of £1.2 million has allowed Oriel to establish a new Junior Research Fellowship in Modern History.

Last year the Stavros Niarchos Foundation made a landmark donation of £1.2 million to the Fellowship in Ancient Greek Philosophy that was, until recently, held by Professor David Charles. The teaching of Philosophy at Oriel has been generously supported by alumni and friends for a number of years and the Niarchos Foundation’s transformative gift to the College allows us to fulfil our aim of securing Oriel’s future at the centre of Classical thought.

How your gift will help

Your gift to teaching and research at the College is truly an investment in Oriel’s future as all funds raised towards our Fellowships are invested in perpetuity and relied upon to support the academic post.
