We welcome visits from Orielenses and their families.

If you would like to visit College during the week, we recommend contacting the Development Office, either by email on: development.office@oriel.ox.ac.uk or by telephone on: 01865 276 585, and we would be happy to arrange this for you. To avoid overlapping with current members eating lunch, we recommend that you avoid visiting between 12:00 and 14:00 if you would like to see inside Hall.  A member of the team could also accompany you on a tour if this is something you would like. 

On weekends, College is open between 2-5pm. Please let the Porters know that you are an Orielensis using your alumni card and you will be free to look around the quads, Hall and Chapel.

At certain points in the year, and particularly over the long vacation, Oriel becomes very busy with conferences and other private bookings. At these times, access to parts of or all of College may be restricted, so please contact us in advance to make arrangements and avoid any disappointment on the day. We recommend always emailing us to check before visiting, either with the Development Office during the week or the Lodge on weekends.

We have dining and banqueting venues to suit all occasions, from the grandeur of Oriel’s historic Hall to smaller, more intimate rooms such as the Box and Champneys Room.
