This year’s London Dinner for Orielenses will be held in in The Guard Room, Lambeth Palace.

Lambeth Palace – or as it was originally called, the Manor of Lambeth, or Lambeth House – has been the London residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury for nearly 800 years. The Guard Room, where Orielenses will be dining, is thought to date from the 14th Century and its walls are adorned with portraits of Archbishops of Canterbury dating from 1602 to 1783.

We are delighted to be able to welcome guest speaker The Rt Honourable Sir Alan Haselhurst MP (1956). Sir Alan is the current MP for Saffron Walden, and has represented his constituency since 1977. He was also elected Deputy Speaker of The Commons in 1997, a role in which he served until 2010.
