Highlights include:

  • A report on W1’s recent Torpids victory.
  • Patrick Duhig (2005) gives an account of crossing the Greenland polar ice cap unsupported.
  • Sarah Wright (2014) goes into detail about the preparations involved in taking her new musical, Doctor Faustus, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

The Next Industry Focus – Entrepreneurship

Our next industry focus will be focussing on Orielenses who are entrepreneurs. We will be contacting some Orielenses who we know to be entrepreneurs, but if you would like to be considered for inclusion then please do contact development.office@oriel.ox.ac.uk

  • Robin Harland (1951) gives his account of The Queen’s 90th birthday street party at The Mall.
  • Jon Bentley’s (1979) account of representing Oriel on University Challenge.

  • A Medical Pioneer: a profile of former Oriel tutor Prof Geoffrey Raisman and his work towards restoring movement to paraplegic patients
