Join the Oriel Women’s Network for online networking and discussion either at 12.30pm or 6.30pm on Wednesday, 17th March.

The theme of these sessions will be “Beating Burnout” and will be facilitated by Orielensis Fiona Lovatt (1991). Fiona read Classics and Modern Languages, and has since spent her career in FMCG marketing and innovation, in both manufacturing businesses and consultancies. Burnout is an increasing issue, exacerbated by the pandemic. According to a Sept 2020 survey, around 1 in 5 people experienced work-related burnout symptoms last year, and Google searches for ‘signs of burnout’ are up 41%. Based on her own personal experience of burnout, Fiona will help us understand how we can recognise the signs of burnout in ourselves, and what we can do to combat it at work and in our everyday lives.

After we hear from our facilitator we will split you into breakout rooms to discuss further. Please book your place below, if you have any questions please email events@oriel.ox.ac.uk.
