Join the Oriel Women’s Network for online networking and discussion either at 12.30pm or 6.30pm on Tuesday 27th April.
The theme of these sessions will be “Forgotten Women, Hidden Networks” and will be facilitated by Orielensis Lizzie Broadbent (1989) who read Classics. Lizzie has spent her career in business and consultancy and now supports a range of organisational change programmes through her own business, seenheard consulting. She also has a blog, Women Who Meant Business, where she explores the lives and careers of business women born in the reign of Queen Victoria. Many women find networking difficult but with women under-represented in business and political leadership positions, what role can they play in supporting women’s professional development? Lizzie will look at three different women’s networks from the 1850s to the 1920s as a starting point for a discussion on what makes for smart networking and the role of the Oriel Women’s Network.
After we hear from our facilitator we will split you into breakout rooms to discuss further. Please book your place below, if you have any questions please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
