We are pleased to invite alumni and guests to an open house and gardens generously hosted by Rupert Nabarro (1963) at his home in Hampshire on Saturday, 11 June 2022. Join us from 2pm at Bere Mill, which sits alongside the River Test and its picturesque water meadows.

On the Upper Test with water meadows and wooded valleys, Rupert’s garden offers herbaceous borders, bog and Mediterranean plants, as well as a replanted orchard and two small arboretums. Features include early bulbs, species tulips, Japanese prunus, peonies, wisteria, irises, roses, and semi-tropical planting. The garden is complemented by a small mixed grassland farm with traditional breeds of sheep and cattle; this is both to enhance the landscape surrounding the garden, but also to practice traditional self-sufficient farming practices.

Afternoon tea refreshments will be provided for all guests, and there is ample parking available. For more information regarding the house and gardens please click here.
