Staying at Oriel

Subject to availability, the Accommodation Manager can book a room for you to stay in Oriel. During term-time the Accommodation Manager cannot give you more than 10 days’ notice of room availability, as students’ needs must come first. Please contact the Accommodation Manager on Tel: 01865 276553 or Email: helen.kay@oriel.ox.ac.uk

Library Access

Space and resources in the College’s library are at a premium so unfortunately it is not practical to offer desk space or access to the library to our alumni. However, the Development Office staff are happy to take alumni in to see the library on tours of the College. If you have a specific research need then please contact the Development Office at development.office@oriel.ox.ac.uk.

Weddings

Past and present members of the Oriel community are welcome to inquire about the possibility of having their wedding service in the Chapel. Depending on the Chaplain’s schedule and other events taking place in College, the Chapel is available during most of the year for this purpose, with the exception of the late summer and Christmas season. There are a number of legal formalities to address before any firm arrangements can be made for the wedding itself. It is advisable to start the planning process between nine and twelve months in advance of the proposed date of the service. For further information, please contact the Chaplain at chaplain@oriel.ox.ac.uk.
